Movielearn Software to be Media Center Edition Compatible given latest Developments in Digital Entertainment

Movielearn™ is developing its PC based English Learning with Movies software application to be Media Center Edition compatible.  Given recent developments in the way people view digital entertainment and moves in this direction such as the new Entertainment PC’s, Movielearn is designing its ground breaking edutainment technology to be in synch with the world of digital entertainment.

Hong Kong, January 4th, 2006 – Movielearn Systems Pte Ltd (www.movielearn.com) is currently developing its innovative edutainment product to be fully compatible with state-of-the-art digital entertainment platforms. This entails Movielearn adding support to the current Windows XP environment to include Media Center Edition for its groundbreaking English learning edutainment (education + entertainment) software application called Movielearn which teaches you English through watching movies.

This has been prompted with the arrival in Q1 2006 of a new type of entertainment PC that enables users to have one integrated system for all their media in models comparable to a DVD-player. This new kind of consumer entertainment PC will change the way people enjoy entertainment at home: http://p2pnet.net/story/6026

“We are confident that Movielearn’s edutainment value and features have much to offer the digital entertainment consumer market,” states Susan Macdonald, Movielearn’s Licensing and Business Development Head.

Movielearn will be launched as an edutainment product designed to be watched on a PC in Windows XP in Q1 2006 in Hong Kong, and distribution will commence in Taiwan, Thailand, S Korea, China and Germany in Q2 2006. Initial titles to be released in this launch are FremantleMedia’s hit TV series, The Apprentice and Baywatch.

Baywatch is the award-winning show that brings the blue skies and beautiful beaches of Southern California to over one billion viewers worldwide. It is summer on the beach, as explosive action, daring rescues, courage, teamwork and passion from the Baywatch lifeguard team all contribute to this series scorching success. Legendary movie-maker Steven Spielberg is being linked to a forthcoming Baywatch movie version for 2006 with Dreamworks SKG buying all the theatrical rights.

From Emmy-Award winning producer Mark Burnett, The Apprentice is a bold reality series that tests competitors' survival techniques in New York City's corporate jungle. The candidates face weekly business challenges and strive to reach the top. One promising candidate will become an apprentice to U.S. business tycoon, Donald Trump. Season 1 was the highest rated new series of the 2003-04 Season, gaining an average audience of 20 million viewers, with the finalé gaining an incredible audience of 28 million viewers - 167% above NBC's prime time average.

Following the release of these titles, Movielearn will also schedule the release of full-feature blockbuster films. Titles and respective release dates will be announced shortly.
