Decoder
Movielearn requires a DirectShow compatible DVD decoder to watch movies.

 Step 1 - Click Start

Step 2 – Select Run

Step 3 - Type dvdupgrd /detect, click OK.

A list of detected DVD decoders will appear. If there are no decoders listed, please check out our Getting a Decoder page.
If you have more than one DVD decoder installed on your computer, you may experience problems when you play DVDs. To resolve the problem, remove all but one DVD decoder by using Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel.
If you encounter a problem while using Windows Media Player 10 to play Movielearn DVD, use the Video Decoder Checkup Utility to verify that you have a compatible MPEG-2 video decoder installed on your computer.

¤ Check whether your DirectShow is working properly.
Verify whether your DVD Decoder is DirectShow compatible. Open the Microsoft Windows Media player, click on Tools then Options. See if you have the DVD tab, then if your DVD Decoder is DirectShow compatible. If not, you need to download a DirectShow compatible decoder. Please refer to Getting a Decoder page.

¤ If your DVD decoder works but Windows Media Player and Movielearn do not, that may indicate a Microsoft DirectShow problem.
